Susan Klein is on the cutting edge of technology, literature and art with the debut of her new illustrated podiocast, The Gnome and Mrs. Meyers. She has created a humorous, insightful fable for adults, using the tool-chest of a children’s book illustrator and performance artist. One may enjoy the podcasts of the book, read by the author, while viewing her original paintings.
As an artist whose work grew out of the love of children’s book illustrations and illuminated manuscripts, I think it’s wonderful that she has provided an illustrated work for adults. The characters in her podiobook are quirky, eccentric and original, and the paintings bring them to life in an engaging way that doesn’t detract from the listener’s ability to visualize them mentally.
